It's been a busy start to the year in our new second floor location! We've been fully enjoying the warm welcome of our neighbors and the beautiful morning sunlight filling our workroom! Speaking of which, I couldn't help but share the work on this dress - replacement of the invisible (truly!) zipper while matching the design. The zipper is the length of the entire photo. Can you find the zipper slide? 😉

Sometimes we get to create a garment that has an amazing adventure in its future! This double layered thermal custom shirt will make a trip to Tibet and will keep its owner warm (among many other layers, I'm sure!) on the Basecamp of Mt. Everest!

Our team is looking for a part-time seamstress/stitcher. 1-2 days per week is ideal. Days of preference are Tuesday through Saturday, but which 1-2 days within that frame is up to a potential candidate. Flexible hours are also offered. The work mainly consists of bridal and formalwear, but we provide the sewing services for a range of projects. Main responsibilities are fittings and sewing.

Embroidering a delicate bridal tulle with lace applique is a tricky thing. It takes time, patience, great equipment and expertise. I think we nailed it on this cathedral length custom veil!

From the concept, envisioned by the client through her beautiful drawings, to the finished product - how gorgeous is she! The process involves a mock-up, or a pattern fitting, fashion materials cut and assembly and the final fitting. It takes just a little longer than alterations, because of sourcing the desired fabrics and perfecting the pattern, but the results are so worth it!
