The shoe store was opened in 1923 by Bob Kennedy. Al Eckstein purchased the store from Mr. Kennedy and changed the name to Eckstein Shoe Store in 1953. Eckstein ran the store until selling the business to his daughter, Shirley, and her husband Paul Miller. Shirley and Paul ran the store until retiring in 2012 and sold the business to Steve and Sharon Coffman. Steve and Sharon's son, Jim Coffman, m

anages the store, with the help of their daughter Mary Coffman. We currently offer SAS, New Balance, Danner, Dunham Boots, Nunn-Bush, Toe Warmers, Foam Tread slippers, and Trotters. We will continue to add additional brands and styles in the near future. Also available are socks, polish, laces, insoles, and all your other footwear needs! Same name, same service, same quality since 1923! Come let us fit you and repair you!

Yesterday, a mother and daughter came in because their feet had been hurting.

After listening to what was going on, I helped them find the right shoes—and they both left feeling so much better. 😊

I hear that all the time.

One of my favorite parts of my job is sitting down with someone, listening to what’s going on, and helping them figure out why their feet hurt.

Sometimes it’s the wrong size.

Sometimes it’s the wrong support.

Sometimes it’s something they never would have guessed.

Well…today didn’t exactly start as planned. 😅

We have had no power at home since 6:00 last night , so I was running a little behind this morning.

Thankfully, we’re here now and ready to help!

Some days don’t go according to plan, but that’s life…you just keep moving forward. 😊
