Here she is! I’m very happy to show you the full reveal of the Give a Heart Bear dress, 2026.

She’s a beautiful confection of aqua, tiny dots, vibrant purple and darling gingham, topped with a girly bear applique. Button back, snap-on bow, hairbow, fully lined with crinoline underskirt. One of a kind, and one with meaning.

You have until Friday, August 28 to earn your chance to win this adorable dress for as little as $20 and make a difference for grieving families.

I’m so happy to announce that we’re half way to the goal of donating 100 heartbeat stuffies to hospitals. This is my favorite project each year, because your compassion toward grieving families is amazing, and heartwarming to witness.

Some of you have shared your stories of loss and grief with me privately over the last few years, and I have shared some of Kyle’s story with you. I know many of you donate in memory of your loved ones or in honor of your children. While I don’t know where each stuffie ends up, I will share this:

My sister received a message from a NICU nurse last week. She’s on the other side of the country, and somehow had seen the Kyle’s Kritters website. She had cared for a baby in their NICU for almost a year before the child unfortunately passed away. She reached out to request a bear for the child’s great-grandmother who had sat with the baby daily, loving and caring for her grandchild. They were able to record the little one’s heartbeat for her. I can’t imagine.

Stories like this are why Kyle’s Kritters exists, and why I do the Give a Heart Bear Dress each year. It’s not about winning a dress, but about loving others and hopefully providing a little piece of comfort.

So, again, thank you ALL for donating bears. You really are the sweetest group of ladies! Here’s hoping we reach 100 by Friday!

“Fair Winds” is a beautiful buttery shade of yellow accented with the perfect bubble gum pink. She has a girly pink ruffled Peter Pan collar, ruffly elastic puff sleeves, and a covered-button closure in back which will allow a little bit of growth.

An adorable pastel polka dot sailboat drifts across her skirt toward a shining yellow sun giving her all the cheerful vibes.

“Fair Winds” is named after a nautical saying “Fair winds and following seas” which is a way of wishing a sailor a pleasant and safe journey. (Yesterday was our step-dad’s 82nd birthday, and he was a lifelong sailor. ⛵️Happy birthday, Len!)

It’s time for a “Beary” special dress giveaway for a VERY special cause. Let me tell you the story behind the “Give a Heart Bear” dresses.

Almost six years ago, at Thanksgiving time, our family experienced a tragedy. My sister lost her oldest son. Kyle was placed on life support for a few days to give the Life Link of GA team time prepare for organ and tissue donation while possible matches were located.

During that time, some kind nurses recorded Kyle’s heartbeat onto a little device that was placed inside a teddy bear and given to my sister so that she could always have the sound of her son’s heart with her. As you can imagine, that bear is extremely special to her.

Shortly after Kyle’s death, the hospital ran out of bears, and a parent was unable to get their child’s heart recorded, leaving without a bear. My sister decided to make sure that didn’t happen again.

Kyle’s Kritters is the non-profit she created in his memory. In the last three years, through fundraising and generous donations (LOTS from our beloved Cinderella family!) she has been able to provide stuffed animals with the heartbeat recorded to several hospitals and to hospices. She is keeping them stocked! And YOU have played a large part in that through your donations.

This will be the third iteration of the Give a Heart Bear dress. You earn a chance to win the dress by donating a bear. You may donate as many as you’d like, and each donation is another spot on the wheel.

If the dress isn’t YOUR child’s size, you’re still a winner because you have won a darling dress that you can either hoard or sell for full value!

The dress will be a size 5/6.
