Day 1 of Bushcraft Class is in the books! We had an exciting day of learning basic trail safety, began building our shelter and most importantly Everyone earned their poison ivy identification badge!

Some sweaters were just MADE to be slippers! I still have more of this colorful 100% felted lambswool sweater. 11 years in this business has taught me that you just never know what the next big selling item will be. There have been times I design and plan what I think will be a hit product and no one seems to agree- then I create an item like these Muck Boots (which were made on a whim as a special order for a toddler with mobility issues)and no matter how hard I try I just can’t make enough to keep them in stock. I have shipped so many of these to Alaska recently that I swear I must have mommas up there spreading the word far and wide for me.

So what’s the big deal about these boots? They are flexible, cozy and warm - perfect for babies and new walkers on the move! The outers are made from water resistant cotton duck cloth. Soles and uppers are made from grippy, repurposed rubber. Boots are fully lined with lambswool and can be worn with or without socks. Muck Boots look great with the cuff rolled down or worn up to keep baby's legs warm. Perfect for baby wearing! Outer elastic can be adjusted and tied in back to keep the boots snug in place.

A bag full of delightfully colorful, deliciously soft, felted wool of all kinds. The scraps have been pre felted or boiled and painstakingly cut into tiny squares.

String them on some hardy thread to make a gorgeous garland for your Christmas tree or mantelpiece, thread them on some string for ornaments, thread them with beads to make lovely necklaces, and on and on and on!

These are perfect for little hands! Even young preschoolers can easily and safely thread wool because of how airy the fibers are. My little ones even enjoy dumping out their bag of squares and sorting them by color. $12 + $4 shipping.

One of my favorite parts of this new camper-hosting gig is delivering the different “extra” packages people order. Tonight I delivered a “Date Night” basket which includes a bottle of my home brewed elderberry wine and some wildflowers from our field.

I have dreamed of taking a bath in the woods for years. Now that we have turned our school tent into a glamping campsite I am finally making it happen! It is not finished, but getting there! Have any of you ever tried a wood fired off-grid hot tub before? ’sedge

A year ago this was our school. No stress and no fear. I didn’t choke back tears sending them off to school like I did this morning. Anyone else SERIOUSLY considering pulling their kids from school until the grown ups in this country find a way to make sure they are not massacred while there?

One of our twins has been begging for her own room for years. We are trying not to raise entitled children and have no other room for her anyways, so share she must. I just surprised her with this little clubhouse of sorts around her bed - it has all of her favorite things; books, baseball, and a picture of her doggie. The cacti are because she told me if she ever builds a clubhouse she would plant cacti around it for protection. It was the perfect 10th birthday present! An old sheet for the win!

A winter rainbow! I became an auntie (again) so I dove into my scrap bin and made this. I used a washable wool blanket for the batting, so it will make a great play mat and a snuggly blankie. If you love the colors of this blanket and would like to make one of your own you are in luck! I cut twice as many squares as I needed and will be selling them as a bundle. A great opportunity to whip up a colorful quilt in a weekend. I will post the listing later tonight.

When grandpa passed away this year I was given his old leather bomber jackets to “do something with”. I just completed a pair of buttery soft mittens for all the adults who loved him most. I feel like I am holding a little piece of him every time I wear these. One of my favorite up-cycles to date!
