CLARA DAVIS

Clara Davis was a community activist for civil rights and quality education. As a voting rights activist since the mid 1950s, she was a precinct commissioner and worked hard to encourage citizens to vote. In addition, Ms. Davis was a PTA president in Princeton and was the first African American woman to serve on the Bossier Parish Library Board of Trustees.
