Friday, Sept. 1st is "Shop Bellevue" and our gate will be open from 5PM until 10PM with our special FALL reveal featuring everything you need for decorating your home and garden for the season!

Fresh Kale from last Sunday's Bellevue Farmer's Market (located once a month at the Thomas J. Wiethorn Memorial Beach Park). I purchased it along with a few fresh cucumbers, and 3 large Zucchini for my sister Linda HeuserTye to make bread and relish with and 2 cool custom made seed sacks (one for my sis and her heavy ass Zucchini), to carry it all home - from my sweet farmer friend Amy Clements Powell who runs Atwood Village Family Farm! In case you're wondering - "YES" it was so simple to cook and just as fresh and delicious as it looks!

I simply sauted some garlic, sweet peppers and walnuts in olive oil for a few minutes until fragrant, then added the rinsed chopped fresh KALE with a gentle splash of Soy Sauce and pepper flakes - and tossed it around until wilted and tender to my liking. We served it up with a loaded baked potato for a quick and quite tasty and filling late hot Summer evening dinner!
