Fringe is hiring! ✨ We are adding someone to our team working in sales, customer service, inventory intake, merchandising, and general shop upkeep. We are looking for someone who loves fashion, is excited about being a part of our team, is self-motivated, responsible, and reliable. The details:

🌟12-14 hours a week
🌟$19.13/hour to start
🌟Must be available to work weekends
🌟Must be able to lift and move up to 50lb boxes
🌟Retail experience preferred but not required

We’re searching for that person who is the perfect fit with our team and vision, and someone who can grow with us. Please note: this is not a seasonal position. We are looking for someone to stay with us long-term, with opportunity for additional responsibilities.

I understand why she asked. I’ve asked it for years, too. It’s hard not to when we were raised by 90’s super models and diet culture.

But I’ve noticed a shift lately. Fashion has always been tied to culture, and both are shifting away from dressing for others, and moving toward dressing for yourself.

I used to tell people to balance their proportions: if you wear something loose, baggy, or flowing on the bottom, balance it with something fitted on the top. But that old advice seems to be out the window.

Now, more and more, we’re dressing for comfort. We’re dressing for what makes us happy, what makes us feel good, and what brings out our personality. If it’s fitted, cool. If it’s baggy everything with a pop of color and print, that’s cool too.

This doesn’t mean you have to stop caring about how your clothes look. It means that YOU get to decide what looking good means to you.

Fringe is celebrating 11 years this week!! 🥂✨

It may not seem like it from the outside, but this past year was a big one for us. I spent a ton of time immersed in education about the boutique industry, and as a result have been completing “internal renovation projects” one by one. Switching our POS felt like going through surgery, but we’re getting through the PT now and starting to stand on stronger legs as we walk into this next decade. Looking back at this past year, some of my favorite highlights include:
