In case you haven't contacted us in the last 6 months, we have closed our official business, moved out of our storefront, and the building is for sale. However, if you're in need of alterations you can still send us a message or email. If we can, we'll fit you in privately! (This also means no sales tax on our private services!)

Hello! Long time, no posting. Life outside the shop got a little harried for us, but we're back on track to move from our storefront to a pop up location. First in that checklist for us? No more telephone land line. You can still message on Facebook, email, or text our personal cell phones if we've previously given that to you.

Due to a family emergency we will be closed tonight. We are still accepting prom dress alterations by appointment. Please message or email! Thanks for your understanding.

Here's the second piece from last week's custom bridal requests! This time it's a repurposing of the bride's mother's dress. The (clearly) 1980s design and deep off white color weren't in keeping with the bride's asthenic, so we used the satin skirt and lace waist embellishment from the homemade vintage gown to create a clutch purse/lingerie bag/ crossbody messenger bag (depending on how it's used). The lace overlay was used as a peekaboo accent on the closure flap, and the bag is fully lined.

They say June is the traditional month to get married in, so in honor of the many bridesmaids, mother of the bride, and other wedding related wear we've altered this spring and summer so far, here's part 1 of 2 of a wedding related project we recently finished. The bride had two items she wanted re-worked. The first is a headpiece/veil from her future mother-in-law. Not the style she wanted and not quite the color either. We used new tulle, but were able to take a few embellishments and the hair comb from the old headpiece. The new veil also had a blusher where the old one was just 1 layer. Do you have a specific idea for a veil you don't see in a bridal shop? Contact us - our custom made veil prices could be lower than you think. ;)

Just finished a very special project for our 3 year old niece, who has hands that cannot be exposed to too much sun, and is starting swimming lessons this summer. So, I made some convertible mittens out of swimsuit fabric. They turned out so cute! Hopefully they will be helpful too :)
