Imported from England in the late 1800s, the Hackney quickly became a foundation of American equestrian culture. Their unmatched elegance, high-stepping action, and fiery presence helped shape the modern American show ring we know today.

From the glory of the World’s Championship Horse Show in Louisville to county fairs and academy programs, Hackneys have inspired generations of horsemen and women. Their influence can be seen not only in the pony classes, but in the very American love of showmanship, style, and spirit.
