Resurgence- This painting celebrates the resilience of the American buffalo — a species once hunted to near extinction but now restored through protection, perseverance, and the will to survive. The bison, for me is a symbol of strength, renewal, and unstoppable spirit. This piece is for anyone who needs to know that renewal is possible. Sometimes your greatest power comes after surviving what should’ve ended you. Cheers to the American 🦬!

While painting this owl, I kept thinking about how Scripture uses owls to reflect desolation and loneliness— the moments when life feels quiet, heavy, or uncertain. I’ve had seasons like that. Maybe you have, too.

But the more I painted, the more I felt the other side of that story: our deep need for God’s light, community, and the kind of restoration only He can bring.
Even when we’re standing in the “desolate places,” we’re never actually abandoned.

This owl reminds me that God meets us right there — in the quiet, in the dark, in the spaces we don’t talk about.
And from that place, He grows hope.
He brings light.
He leads us forward.

If you’re in one of those seasons, you’re not alone. The owl can see in the dark, and we can too -with His light.
