Sometimes life comes at you hard and fast and all you can do is hit ‘PAUSE’. I want to thank everyone that has rallied around us during this difficult time. The messages of love and support, the helping hands, but at the core, the care for our family from our friends and community have touched my heart. I am humbled and forever grateful❤️ owning a small business is hard, but I’ll tell you what. Navigating broken systems to get a loved one help when they need it the most is 100x’s harder. In some of my darkest times over the past two weeks, our Hat Bar FAMILY has lifted me (us) up and has touched my heart and brought my to tears. Tears of gratitude and amazement.
Things were a bit more medically complicated than I thought and everything has spiraled. Thankfully I’ve gotten him started with a new team of doctors and he’s finally starting to get the care he’s desperately needed. They call people like me, the ‘sandwich generation’,when you’re caring for your children and aging parents. I don’t think that term does it justice.
If this hadn’t taken me away, I wouldn’t have seen how this community has rallied around us and loved us the way it has. As Bob Marley said, ‘No rain, No RAINBOWS’.
