Vintage home and collectibles and creative workshops I’m curating an eclectic mix of vintage and upcycled furnishings, artwork, and objects.

After closing my B&B and selling my small farm, I’m pursuing a new dream in southern Vermont: restoring a Victorian-era mill store into a combined art gallery and interior decor shop. Renovations are underway, and I’m busy stocking the gift shop, connecting with artists, and planning intimate events and hands-on workshops. Follow along as the vision comes to life.

Feeling grateful as we have just soared past our four month anniversary since opening Mill Store 1865. So happy to report that my vision is coming into focus more and more each week. Celebrating some recent milestones: Our first soft residency is proving incredibly productive! We had our very first Ebay sale, and our very first web site sale. Our first workshop has been a huge success: Mosaic Sugar Skulls with . I want to express deepest gratitude to my new community in southern VT, the Berkshires and Eastern NY. Thank you to everyone that has come in, told a friend about us and have supported local independent businesses!

Mill Store 1865 is happy to announce an exhibition of paintings by Matt Chinian and Mattias Van Cleef. Both artists emerged from the rich community of Bennington College: Chinian, class of 1984 and Van Cleef class of 2026. The two painters find their subjects for this show in the landscape. Chinian practices plein air painting, focusing on human impact on the environment, particularly through the presence of vehicles in his compositions. Van Cleef draws inspiration from scenes throughout southern Vermont and beyond, pulling cues from American Realism, Impressionism, and Naturalism.

The exhibition will hang from Novemnber 20-January31 with an opening reception on Friday, November 20, at 5:00 p.m -7:00 p.m. at Mill Store 1865, 121 Benmont Avenue, Benniongton VT
