After almost a decade, Mom & I have decided to close Blush.
This has not been an easy decision or one we have taken lightly. But ultimately, it is something we together have decided is the best decision for us both.
We have been open for just over NINE years.
I’ll never forget the day we opened, July 24th 2012. It was one of the best days of my life.
And for the past nine years we have loved our little corner of Benton & have been honored to serve the people of Saline County with our store front. One thing I can say with certainty, retail is not for the faint of heart. BUT I have enjoyed *almost* every minute of it since 2012.
The people we have met, the relationships we have cultivated, the stories we’ve been apart of, the lives we have become intertwined with, the girls & women we were able to employ, the confidence we were able to give to women who chose to shop with us, and most of all.. the experiences and memories that my Mom and I were able to make together.
These are just a few of the great pleasures that we have had having Blush for the past nine years.
But, all good things must come to an end eventually. My Mom is ready to lighten her load. And I personally have been given a new, exciting opportunity that I have chosen to take. And in choosing to do so, that means no more Blush.
Because really.. what is Blush without Sandy & Sarah?! We’re a dynamic duo… if it’s not both of us, it’s neither of us. But we all know this already.
Words fail me when I try to sum up how thankful we are for the past nine years. The support we have been shown, is unmeasurable.
This experience, this place, every single customer who has walked through these doors have shaped me into who I am. And I couldn’t be more thankful for this beautiful experiment, turned semi-permanent business that you all know as Blush.
Thank you Saline County for loving Mom & I, for choosing to spend your hard earned money with us, and for trusting us to dress you for all the small and big moments of your lives.
This chapter is coming to an end, but it’s certainly not the end of the book. Stay turned for inventory liquidation, gift card use, and for my next steps professionally.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you!
