Five Quick Tips for Eye Allergy Relief in Northwest Arkansas 👁️🌳

It’s that time of year again! If your eyes are red, itchy, and watery, you’re not alone — pollen counts are high across NWA right now. Here’s how to find relief:

1. Avoid rubbing your eyes — it feels good for a second but releases more histamine, making itching worse.

2. Use cold compresses — a clean, damp washcloth chilled in the fridge can calm swelling and itching fast.

3. Try preservative-free artificial tears — they flush allergens out and soothe dryness without added irritants. DO NOT use Visine or similar eyedrops.

4. Shower and change clothes after being outside — pollen clings to skin, hair, and fabric all day long.
