Do things that scare you! 💪

Today was my first total knee replacement. My whole time a a surgical tech, any total joint procedure intimidated me. With these procedures we get a ton of instrument trays and as a surgical technologist, it’s my responsibility to know where every instrument is. This procedure is also very fast paced.

I did a total shoulder Tuesday, and a total knee today. I still have so much to learn, but Im facing my fears head on.

I’m thankful for very knowledgeable coworkers who are willing to take the time to teach me how it’s done. We truly make such a great team! 💖

Be brave enough to suck at something new! I may not be the fastest at this procedure, but with time and practice I will be. I love being an ortho girly! 🦴🪚

Rotisserie chicken, fried zucchini & some fried spinach for dinner tonight.

Such a low calorie dinner and it taste SO GOOD. Only thing that would make it better would be if I grew my zucchinis myself. I couldn’t have a garden this year with our move, but hopefully next year!

Here’s to making real food, like grandma used to make!😋

To clear up confusion, I did quit making shirts for a living. I still offer it as a hobby. We are heading to the beach and I’d like a little extra spending money!

Fellas take notes:
My husband walked through the door after work and asked if we wanted to go fishing. It was one of my favorite things to do before babies came along, heck yes I want to go!

We didn’t catch any monsters but I had so much fun reeling in some sunnies. 🎣

Thankful for a beautiful evening and time well spent with my family.

I’ve always hated running. Even when I was in sports (unless I was in a run down - catch me if you can… haha! 🥎) but running with no real purpose or instant satisfaction was not my thing.

Until I hated my body, hated how I felt through the day and knew one of my favorite guilty pleasures were to blame.. coffee and caffeine 😥

I have swapped my morning coffee with a morning run. It definitely isn’t as enjoyable in the moment, but I feel SO much better through the day. I’m not on a constant caffeine crash cycle. I actually have way more energy now.

I usually quit these health kicks within a few days because I don’t get instant results, but I’m feeling really good about this time. Wish me luck!

Also, don’t forget to count your blessings today. No matter your situation, it could always be worse. I’m thankful for my problems.

Mom to mom:
Get outside. Locking yourself in that house all day will literally make you insane. Put their crocs on their little feet and get them outside. Go for a hike, find some water, touch some grass!

Today we went for a little hike, enjoyed the paddle boat, played on the playground for a bit. The whole day cost me $6 bucks. Get outside and make some memories!
