SOLD These vintage 1960s slacks are from Williamy of Hong Kong. I am listing two similar pairs from Williamsy- one is a blue gray and different sizing. This pair is a fuchsia/purple/blue.

Both pairs showcase the high-quality tailoring and luxury materials characteristic of the British Crown Colony era.

During the 1950s and 60s, Hong Kong was renowned for its custom tailoring. Labels from this period often included “Made in the British Crown Colony of Hong Kong,” indicating a high-end garment intended for the Western luxury market.

The fabric is a shimmering, fuchsia shantung or raw silk, with a distinctive nubby texture and the iridescent alternating colors of purple and blue.

These are the classic cigarette pant or “stovepipe” style featuring a high-waisted fit, slim silhouette, and tapered legs that hit at or just above the ankle. This pair has tiny pleats at the ankles.

Precision darts are at the front and back hip provide with a discrete side metal zipper and a hook-and-eye closure at the waistband.

CONDITION: These pants are in MINT condition as far as I can see. No holes, tears, fading, discoloration, rips or smells.

This vintage navy blue dress from the 1940s is a classic daywear silhouette crafted from lightweight rayon crepe.

It features a delicate pink and yellow floral embroidery with green leaves, concentrated particularly around the neckline and peplum.

It has a modest V-shaped neckline and short sleeves.

The dress has a wide, padded shoulders to create a structured look, though these can sometimes be removed.

The lower portion is a simple, flowing skirt that typically falls to or just below the knee, a standard length for 1940s day dresses.

The dress has its original side zipper and no belt loops.

CONDITION: The dress has about 3 tiny pulls (but just strings hanging out) and a modest light shine on the bodice.

I will rate it as being in VERY GOOD PLUS condition.

This is an elegant black silk velvet opera coat from the late 1930s. These garments were designed to be worn over elaborate floor-length gowns without crushing them, offering both warmth and high-fashion drama.

The coat is crafted from plush, high-quality silk velvet blend. It features the era’s signature slim, floor-length silhouette that flares slightly toward the hem.

A defining element of this piece is its oversized white ermine fur collar. This collar can be pulled up for a dramatic effect.

The coat has the late 1930s strong, puffed shoulders and full “mutton” sleeves that taper elegantly down to the wrist.

The coat has a large velvet-covered button at the neck and one at the waist. There is an extra button under the collar.

The interior is a creamy white viscose lining.

CONDITION:

The velvet is strong, dark black and in EXCELLENT condition, no flaws to note. The ermine collar is in soft, supple, EXCELLENT condition. Absolutely no shedding.

The lining is in EXCELLENT minus condition with a couple light brown spots and very slight shade variance on the underarms. There are no seam openings, tears, or smells.

MEASUREMENTS:

Shoulders: 15”
Bust: 19” x 2
Waist: 18” x 2
Hips: 19” x 2
Sleeve length: 23”
Coat length: 50”

This is the quintessential 1940s evening gown with large shoulder pads and an embellished neckline.

The standout feature is the high, collarless keyhole neckline. It is accented by a wide, circular “necklace” bib encrusted with shimmering black glass bugle beads.

The dress has short dolman sleeves and a fitted waist. The floor-length skirt is characterized by intricate draping, with vertical pleats or ruching at the center front that falls into soft, elegant folds.

The dress has its original metal zipper on the side. The back of the neck has two small hooks. The dress has an attached fabric belt on the back.

CONDITION:

I see no flaws on this dress - no moth holes, tears, stains, fading or smells. No bead loss. I am rating this as being in EXCELLENT CONDITION!

MEASUREMENTS:

Shoulders: 15 - 16”
Bust: 19.5” x 2
Waist: 14” x 2

This vintage-inspired J. Peterman evening gown captures “Old Hollywood” glamour with its 1930s-style silhouette and “liquid” satin finish.

The dress features a deep, draped cowl neckline and straps that are accented with decorative rhinestone clips, a signature detail of the Art Deco era.

The dress has bias-cut seaming which the fabric to drape gracefully over the body’s natural curves. The waist is highlighted by curved bust seams.

The fabric has a soft, high-luster and is 100% silk. The skirt is a floor-sweeping maxi length and has a small train in the back.

CONDITION:

The dress itself is in EXCELLENT condition with no moth holes, tears, rips, fading or smells.

The back clip has 6 missing stones which does not deter from the entire fabulous look.

MEASUREMENTS:

The label says “Size 10.”

Bust: 19” x 2
Waist: 18” x 2

This vintage dress is a buttery yellow afternoon or day dress, likely dating from the late 1920s to the early 1930s.

The front is adorned with a vertical ruffles on the left side, accented by 4 white buttons.

Delicate vertical pintuck stitching runs down the center of the bodice.

The neckline is slightly squared with cap sleeves.

The waist is slightly dropped which makes me think late
1920s or early 1930s.

The fabric is silk and it was probably made to be a tea dress.

The label says “400 Frocks.”

CONDITION:

The dress has about 4 pin prick holes which I have photographed.

There is a very slight variation of the yellow dye in a few areas which look like possible water marks. I
have also photographed this and the dress is priced
accordingly. The dress does present beautifully.

MEASUREMENTS:

Shoulders: 16.5” x 2
Bust: 21” x 2
Waist: 19” x 2
Hips: 28” 2
Shoulder to waist: 16”
Waist to hem: 22”
