First photo is me jumping out of the frame I'm clearly not supposed to be in. I often don't know what I'm doing and I know I'm not alone in this. If you relate then awesome and please enjoy.
This summer we interviewed Lacey Triplett Thistle (), founder of .child.shop . The conversation was part of the film project about fashion and the environment, to be shared later this year.
Lacey is 'doing' hyper local circular economy work. She knows this but this isn't necessarily how she frames her mission every day. What she is doing is offering curated, approachable, and convenient options to her community to outfit their kids through her consignment shop in Montclair, New Jersey .newjersey . The presence of her adorable business offers a viable alternative to people who might otherwise purchase new clothing. She is meeting her customer where they are, making rent AND having a positive impact on the environment.
Lacey is a human who is doing something to build community. She is also doing something brave which is trying something new. Love her and love her mission.
