The story of why I chose to store my necklaces in organza bags. Well it started because it takes me no less than an hour to set up and break down my booth at a craft fair. The organza bags help to keep the necklaces from tangling. So that cuts down a lot of setup time. When I was younger I always loved getting the organza bags from purchases. I would use them to store rocks, knick knacks, cool little sticks, anything out that I got out of the quarter machines and that is just the tip of the iceberg of the things that could fit in them. When it comes time to pack up I can start bagging my necklaces and laying them out on the table so the late shoppers (like myself) can still take a look and see if there is anything they might be interested in.

If you or someone you love is plagued with spam bot calls from AI agents I highly recommend answering in a different language and asking it if it speaks that language. You could probably just speak gibberish to them too. Let me know how your adventures with this go!

Oh my gosh these past few weeks have sucked! The car has been in the shop still leaking coolant into the system. Even after changing out the head gasket. So they figured out it was the ERG cooler which is known for going bad in the year and model of car. But somehow in all of this the computer also went bad. It will take 7-10 days waiting on that part. The kiddos have been out of their routine and out of their minds. But I have gotten some of my house cleaned. Three weeks has been a long year. 😂 But we are finally in the home stretch. Between needing to restock on something and my dad and kiddos appointments we did rent a vehicle. The kids have been excitedly exploring every nook and cranny in it. It's good to be mobile again.

I found a box of necklaces in my no longer running van. I am excited to start getting some photos for everyone to see. That is where I found this necklace. It's a hand shaped hammered heart accented by a carnelian bead. This bead is a bit imperfect but every so juicy.

Is it too early for spooky things? I am pretty sure it's never too early. I often try to start planning Halloween costumes in November. But the kiddos often change their minds about what they want to be so I have to wait a bit longer before we can shop for their costumes or supplies for their costumes. We have had Scooby Doo, a Pea Shooter (from the game Plants vs Zombies), Spider-Man, Black Panther, Ender Dragon and so many others. Halloween has been a favorite holiday of mine since I was a kid. Trick or treating has always been a family event. It's a lot more fun that way.

There are so many mass produced items in today's world. It can be frustrating. I know I do love certain aesthetics but I also don't want to go around wearing the exact same thing as everyone else. I absolutely love unique handmade items with little quirks and even sometimes small flaws. You know when you get a handmade item even if that Creator makes something in the exact same way using exact same measurements that it won't quite be exactly the same. There will literally not be anyone else who has the exact same item. That is why I absolutely love handcrafted items. Each one comes with its own unique personality.

This simple rhodonite pendant is one of my favorites. It is small and simply understated with a wonderful pop of pink and black.

What's better than a garden and a good book? Have you heard of the Libby app? If your library is signed up you can check out e-books, audio books, magazines and even watch movies! I have known about this app for a while and just decided to download it. I am currently listening to the audiobook version of 1984. Wow just wow. I see so many parallels to how things are going with online things and AI. There is so much to unpack. I like to listen while cleaning or washing dishes. I found I cannot listen while driving because I see the words in vivid detail. That doesn't make for a safe drive. Its been many years since I have read for fun. There has always been some need since I graduated college. I really thought I would start reading for fun much sooner. What are some of your favorite reads?

Life is funny. I have needed a break I have not been able to take in a long time. Well like it or not I am getting a break. The car I have been driving (my dad's) broke down. It's a 2019 and the head gasket is bad. Even the mechanic was blown away by this. Unfortunately it will likely take over a week to fix. The timing couldn't have been worse because I was finally planning a fun day trip for the kiddos. As an early birthday trip for my youngest we were going to visit a water park. I haven't been to a water park since I was about 6 or 7. We lived in Norfolk Virginia and back in the day there was Wild Water Rapids. We took many trips there and to the beach. I miss those days. But it was such a long time ago way back in the 1900s 😂 Picture this it was the 1980s. The 80s were a different time man. I remember having a blast. I was hoping to give my kiddos a taste of this and life had a different idea. Well maybe I can catch up on photos and videos.

It has been a while since I have made anything new. I am pretty sure I have been suffering from burnout. Is it regular burnout or autistic burnout? Honestly I am not sure. The more that I learn about autism the more I see myself. The more I watch my kiddos struggle the more I see myself. Every day memories from when I was a kid pop into my head. Like how my mom got so frustrated that I wouldn't eat food if it had touched other foods on my plate she finally bought me sectioned plates. Or how it "it took a while for her to start talking but once she started she hasn't shut up since" paraphrased from my dad. I have very few memories from when I was little or my time in school. My mom said I would have hour-long meltdowns every day after school. Apparently none of this that happened in my everyday life was "normal". I also remember my mom having me evaluated for something in the late 80s or early 90s. Back then girls didn't get ADHD or ADD and unless you were very stereotypical autistic you were not getting a diagnosis. Now there are only a few examples of things that have floated to the surface and in no way a full diagnostic criteria. But it has definitely shed some light on many of my struggles. At this point I am considering a formal diagnosis but also I wonder what that would give me besides a professional saying "you're not broken you're just different" I would probably still question possibly the validity of the diagnosis. Because what if those snapshots they took from my life were only flukes and not valid patterns. Well now this caption took on a life of its own. I really just wanted to focus on my creative block. My overwhelm from even looking at my pliers and wire. But here my brain decided to word vomit about my potential autistic experience. If you have made it this far thank you for witnessing my words. I really do appreciate you.

Life has been crazy the past few years and this month coming up is going to be extra crazy. My 2 youngest kiddos both have an ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) diagnosis with my older one having a 2 for 1 additional ADHD diagnosis. So both have their own unique strengths and challenges. Both are in Occupational Therapy twice a week with the younger one also having speech therapy twice a week. So in general my weeks are pretty busy. I also care for my 84 year old dad who is a disabled Vietnam veteran. He has many appointments and many health challenges especially due to his exposure to Agent Orange. Next month he has a full list of appointments on top of the kiddo appointments. I am going to try to be somewhat consistent with posting creations looking for homes but as often happens I get that urge right about the time that brown stuff hits the fans. I appreciate patience if you are trying to contact this busy mom/daughter/creator and promise I am not intentionally ignoring anyone just super busy and hanging on by a thread.

These fun square spiral earrings are made with copper as many of my creations are. They are fun simple and lightweight making the perfect companions for someone who may have sensitivity to heavier earrings. They have just the right amount of dangle and movement.
