Ladybug's Cabin Creations I am a Montana quilter, pattern designer and textile artist living on the shores of the beautiful Swan River. My home studio/shop is open by appointment.

Send me a message if you'd like to stop in! My work includes traditional quilting techniques, appliqué, and thread painting, along with fabrics I hand-dye and paint. Many compositions include three-dimensional objects with a variety of fibers and textures. I’ve also be designing quilting and applique patterns with a focus on state flowers, and our beautiful National Parks. I am one of the featured

local artists Sassafras gift shop and gallery located in Historic Downtown Kalispell on main street. I also teach a variety of classes in textile art and do custom quilting work. Final day of our workshop...we all agreed that it could have been twice as long as there was so much more fun to be had. I'm so proud of everyone's progress on their personal projects and also for how supportive they were of each other's work. What a beautiful time spent together being creative.

Workshop Day 3. More work on personal projects, thread painting using Lutradur and painted cheese cloth, needle felting and getting to enjoy seeing projects starting to come to life! And a little added excitement of a car fire just outside. Thankfully one of our attentive students had noticed where the fire extinguisher was in the kitchen so we were able to help keep it from getting worse before the fire brigade arrived to put out the flames. Was so appreciative of the locals who stepping in to help, and the construction workers who also drove down the road with other fire extinguishers and a water truck in case it was needed!

Day two of our workshop. (How is it possible to fit so much fun in a day?) Thread painting, fabric painting, more work on individual projects, more amazing meals and a dip in the lake to top it off. Even the animals in the lodge have decided to join in the fun.

Time for another quilt show! Tomorrow and Saturday you'll find me in Superior, MT at the high school (air conditioned gym!) along with some amazing work done by the Cabin Fever Quilters. (actually there are two great shows this weekend--Saturday is the Eureka show as well!) Outside across the parking lot is a fun small fair as well, so lots to see and enjoy. I hope you'll stop by! There is more than one reason to celebrate this week...not only is it birthday week for both Bob and I, but there are some new works to show off at this weekend's art festival in Kalispell. Swing by Glacier Art Museum's annual fundraiser: Arts in the Park this Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Depot Park to see some of my latest work, as well as so many other amazing artists as well.
