Featuring designs by Brocade Black Eagle of Brocade and Angela Howe of Choke Cherry Creek, along with Native dancers bringing even more energy to the stage.

Dr Lanny Real Bird wearing Choke Cherry Creek 🩷

Dr. Lanny Real Bird has served as a storyteller, language acquisition consultant, language instructor, assessment designer, curriculum developer, strategic planner, grant writer, and recognized spokesman and orator of the Apsáalooke people for nearly 40 years.

At the heart of his work is teaching - sharing language, story, knowledge and cultural foundations throughout regional, rural and grassroots communities across Montana.

We are honored to welcome Dr. Lanny Real Bird to Coup de Rouge.

Throughout the experience, Lanny will help set the tone and intention through prayer, storytelling and cultural grounding. At Belle Farms, he will share stories that connect us more deeply to place, history and one another, and at the Yellowstone Film Ranch, Lanny will lead The Procession: A Look Into the Past - guiding us through a powerful moment of reflection, tradition and remembrance.

His presence is an important part of what Coup de Rouge is meant to be: honoring the past, celebrating the present and inspiring the future.

My husband wears my love. ...blood, sweat and tears literally went into his outfit and I prayed while I spent many hours beading it ❤️❤️❤️ Crow Fair 2026 Teepee Capital of the world was good to us!!
