The work has begun to ensure the route for this year’s 18th Annual Southern Magnolia is well marked. Each and every cycling event hosted by the Gulf Coast Cycling Club, has directional signs and road marking so cyclists stay on course.

If this year’s event is your first ever cycling event, the club takes every effort to ensure safety eliminating concerns about getting lost. In addition, the club has driver’s know as SAG on the roads checking on participants to help with bike issues, refill a water bottle and more.

In addition, each route will have rest stops providing snacks, water and hydration along the way.

If you’re on the fence about registering for your very first cycling event, the club and all the volunteers are here so your experience is the best!

Did I also mention, the food that waits every one after the ride is amazing? Food trucks, Snow Boogers and Big Level Grocery will satisfy all appetites.

Thank you to everyone who came out today for GCBC’s 4 Spoke Century Ride!

We began the day with a moment of silence in memory of Harold McDonald and the two college cyclists from Tennessee who were tragically killed by a driver. We also took time to share wonderful memories of Harold. He will truly be missed.

It was a warm day, but everyone pushed through the heat and enjoyed a great day of riding, fellowship, and making memories.

A special thank-you to the Brotherhood of Gulfcoast for providing a wonderful lunch of pastalaya. Congratulations to Glenn Nash, the winner of the Brotherhood’s raffle basket!

Finally, thank you to all of our volunteers who gave their time and helped make the day such a fun and memorable event. We couldn’t have done it without you!

We opened up no swag registrations for the first ten on the waitlist, but not everyone on it was able now to do the event. This link is good for seven more folks to register. It will close Wednesday evening by 4pm so I can get the roster to the timer.

Get ready for the ultimate summer ride! The Gulf Coast Bicycle Club is thrilled to present the Bikes and Beaches Time Trial, a premium event coming your way this July.

🗓️ Event Details

• Date: Sunday, July 26, 2026
Ride Director: Melissa Lorance

• Start Line: The top of the bridge at Henderson Point

• The Route: A scenic 10-mile stretch of Highway 90 along the beach, running from Pass Christian to Long Beach

• Check-In: Opens promptly at 6:00 AM and closes at 6:30 AM

⚠️ Important Registration Info

• Limited Capacity: This event is strictly limited to the first 50 riders. No exceptions.

• Pre-Registration Only: There will be no on-site registration on the day of the event.
There will be four classifications to choose from:

1. Open – TT Bike or road bike

2. Eddy Merckx – ROAD BIKE ONLY

3. Athena/Clydesdale – Clydesdale 220 pounds and up, Athena 155 pounds and up

4. Recumbent
