Behind the scene:
Prom Prep Week 💐
What most people see…
Beautiful bouquets, smiling kids, and a special night.
What you don’t see… is everything that goes into it.
Prom week starts long before a single flower is designed.
It begins with compiling massive product lists and trying to explain just the right shades to the flower supplier.
Then comes quantities…
Knowing wholesale means ordering in bundles (usually 25 stems at a time)…
Telling yourself you’ll stop at 25 orders…
…and somehow ending up at 45 because saying “no” is difficult
All while still managing:
• Everyday flower orders
• Appointments
• Tuxedo try-ons & pickups
• And trying to be present for your own child’s last prom 🤍
The organization alone is a full-time job:
Deadlines. Notes. Screenshots. Collages. Inspiration photos. Phone Calls. Messenger. In-person. Text.
Every tiny detail matters.
Buckets ready ✔️
Containers ✔️
Ribbon ✔️
Labels with names & pickup times ✔️
Flower delivery days are a whirlwind…
Processing every single stem, mixing flower food, building recipes, making sure there are enough vases, and finding room in the coolers for it all.
Then comes the communication…
Phone calls, texts, in-person orders, business page, personal page…
Endless inspiration photos and directions.
We ask a lot of questions upfront—because it helps everything run smoothly when it’s time to design.
Now multiply all of that by coordinating:
✨ 45 orders
✨ Multiple pickup schedules
✨ Last-minute changes & additions
…and top it off with 6 local proms all on the same day:
Blair-Taylor
Black River Falls
Whitehall
Independence
G-E-T
Arcadia
It’s organized chaos.
And yes… it leaves your florist a little frazzled by the end.
But it’s also incredibly rewarding to be a small part of such a special night for so many 💐
Thank you for trusting us year after year 🤍
