I'm so looking forward to introducing friends of Lola Designs to Shrima and her ! Her products are truly "candles with a tinge of art" as her tagline says....but I'd say more than a tinge. Beautiful to look at, amazingly scented AND each scent has its own beautifully written story. Join us on Sunday, November 10 at the Lola Designs November Open House and experience Mudita Meraki for yourself!

An excerpt from the story of the Fall's Finest Soufflé candle.....Though we had little in terms of comfort, money, or even food, none of us complained. Instead, we embraced every moment, sharing laughter, stories, and a sense of camaraderie that made those few days unforgettable. We helped the Hmong children, and in return, we were reminded of a simple truth: life doesn't need to be perfect or extravagant to be beautiful. Happiness comes not from what you have but from the people you share it with and the heart you bring into every moment.

One of the things I'm most grateful for as the owner of Lola Designs is the many amazing women I've had the chance to meet and get to know. Some have been crafters in studio for a workshop, some shoppers looking for a little something special, some community small business owners sharing their journey with me and all wonderfully encouraging and energizing! Thank you!

On Sunday, November 10, I hope you'll join me at Lola's to meet Shrima Karthik - she's one of the small business owners I've been privileged to meet and encourage. When asked why she turned her love of candle making into a business Shrima says "What started as a personal escape has grown into my passion and happy place. This journey led to the creation of Mudita Meraki—where “Mudita” reflects finding joy in the happiness of others, and “Meraki” is about putting your heart and soul into what you create. Each candle carries a piece of me, and with every purchase, I know I’m spreading a little joy. Even the glitters you see on my products are biodegradable because I believe in creating beauty without harming the planet."

Hello friends! I'm so excited to invite you to our November Open House - The Grateful Gathering! Life for our family over the last seven months has been eventful and at times darn right overwhelming. But, we welcome November filled with gratitude for the blessings of family, healing, and resilience.

We hope you'll stop into the Lola Designs Studio on Sunday, November 10 between 12:30 and 4p to celebrate this season of gratitude. We'd love to welcome you in and catch up!

We're thrilled to host Mudita Meraki Candle Co during the open house, come explore Shrima's fabulous fall-scented candles. There will also be treats and refreshments, free project kits for kids and Holiday Workshop give-aways.
