FIRST FRIDAY POP-UP ✨

Meet Ellen Groce — the maker behind these one-of-a-kind reworked pieces coming to Main Trade for First Friday.

Ellen takes vintage men’s shirts and hand-sews them into something entirely new. No two pieces are alike. Every shirt keeps a little bit of its history — an uneven hem, a loose thread, a perfectly imperfect detail — and becomes something completely its own.

Basically: old shirt → new life → one-of-one.

If you like clothing with a story, a little bit of soul, and absolutely no chance of seeing yourself coming down the street wearing the same thing as someone else… you’ll want to meet Ellen.

We're grateful for the opportunity to share the story of Main Trade with The Pantagraph . 🤎

These first few months have been incredibly special—not just watching the store come to life, but building relationships with our wonderful vendors who put so much time and care into curating their booths, and with the customers who have walked through our doors, found treasures, and become regulars.

Thank you to The Pantagraph for sharing our story and to the Bloomington-Normal community for welcoming Main Trade into downtown Bloomington and supporting what we’re building here. We truly couldn’t do it without you.
