Hello to all my Friends,

My name is Rebecca Ermisch. You may remember that I had The Costume Shop on Main Street in Blooomsburg, PA for years. I have moved my business to my first floor apartment at 336 A on East Street in Bloomsburg, and I have transformed my business from rentals to purchases, still doing what I love best. I do alterations on regular clothing and still create costumes and also

re-enactmant clothing for purchase. I learned my tailoring skills from one of the best—Al Lenzini, former owner of Al’s Men’s Shop. I worked with him from 1972 till 2015 when the shop closed. I have worked in theater since my college days—creating costumes for high schools, universities, community theater, professional theater, the Masons and other organizations. I also enjoy making re-enactment clothing and all the research involved to make each piece historically correct, for both men and women. I’ve never wanted to leave Bloomsburg. I am closing up my shop. Retiring from alterations and most sewing! Thanks for the support over the years but it is time for me to stop the daily sewing I have done since 1972.

Hi! I’m Twylah, Becky’s sister, posting some information for her. Becky’s testing the waters in a new area of creativity, making quilted table runners, hot pads, beverage carriers, placemats and more just in the last month. She’s been making them for years for all Our family holiday tables and family gifts (Christmas, Easter, Fourth of July, Thanksgiving, and “my” patio table). I love them and have accumulated quite a nice collection. Since people have urged her to sell them, she decided to try a church bazaar this year, beginning with Bloomsburg’s Saint Paul's Episcopal Church earlier this month with great results, and now is displaying her work at BTE’s Tree Fest. I urged her to post some of her creations on her page, but she didn’t have the time since she almost sold out of some items today and is busy making more. I offered to post them for her since I think everybody should see these fantastic pieces. She will be at Tree Fest Sunday, November 27th and again next weekend on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, December 2-4. She also is taking orders for requested color schemes. Check her photo gallery, and see what you think. I’m amazed that she created all these pieces in just this past month of November.
