I’m hosting my biggest party yet! 17 kids ranging from 4-9 years old, both boys and girls.⁠

Admittedly, I was a little nervous about the party size because let’s face it, we are all our own worst critic, and I wanted to knock it out of the park for Sofia’s 7th birthday. I went WAY early to set up tables and arches for the snack pack patch party bar.⁠

Each kid got their own snack pack to decorate with tons of patches, a squishy from our machine, they personalized a swag bag for goodies, played games and topped it off with a DIY cupcake decorating station.⁠

Everyone’s super happy!! I’m glad I put in the extra effort.⁠

This is one of my favorite experiences. Every time I host a charm bag bar the best part of the event is listening to the stories of the ladies there.

Each charm is a memory for them, it’s a heartwarming piece of their lives. The 20 something that just got a job promotion and decided to travel to Paris to celebrate, the 30 something that just found out she was pregnant after rounds of IVF, the 40 something that got back to the gym and is in better shape than ever, and the list goes on.

All these charm pieces are a wearable story of their lives.

I almost canceled today’s workshop.

Originally so many people showed interest, but no one was signing up. The summer has been leaving us exhausted with our schedules and I assumed everyone else was in the same position.

Then, one after the other I was getting sign ups! My confidence skyrocketed and I ran out right away and grabbed the rest of the materials I needed.

Turns out everyone had interested they just had competing schedules, but worked us in.

It’s a great feeling to have people show up, but an even better feeling to have the kids tell you how great the day was!

What a great party! We had pink, blue or lavender glam bags to choose from, chenille or pearl letters and an array of patches to choose from.

We leveled up with pearl accents and tassels!

Bottom line, I don’t like doing them. Almost everyone I have been to hasn’t worked out for me and sometimes I feel like small businesses get exploited for time because we are trying to prove ourselves.

I’m finally at a point in my life and career where I know and trust what moves the needle and this isn’t it.
