JOHHHHNNYYYYYYY 🥹😭
Last Sunday, Ambs and Johnny were headed out for their morning walk. Every single day, the two of them go together and walk the property. Just the two of them.
This particular day, I decided to join them. On our way back up the driveway, Johnny stopped and started licking his back left paw. Thinking maybe something was stuck in it, I leaned over to help and my hand came back up with blood. 🫠
It was a Sunday, his vet was closed and at the time, I thought maybe my vet med friend could patch him up until his vet opened the next day.
So we took him by to see his Uncle Rider Rider Andrews who cleaned and wrapped him up good until we could get him in on Monday.
Fast forward to next day, we get him into his vet and they say, "Uh, what did this kid step on?!"
"Dude, wish I knew. No clue. Scoured that long ass driveway and found nothing." Nada. Zip.
"Well, he needs a little surgery to patch him up."
"What? Surgery."
"Yes."
"Okay. When?"
"Right now. Come back and pick him up later."
😩😩😩
Y'all, SIX STITCHES later (in one baby paw pad) our sweet boy is stuck with not only this cone BUT also keeping that foot covered & dry for two weeks.
I'm no math whiz, but I feel like 6 stitches for him in a foot is like 30 stitches for us. 🫠
Last slide was at pick-up after surgery .. kiddo was flying real high. 😆
Moral of the story, I should have let them keep their walk just for them, Johnny is the bravest and grocery bags have a million uses, including fashion.
"The Chanel boots?"
"Yeah, I am." 💅
