If you haven’t had a chance to visit The Closet for the Back to School session, we would love to see you!
We are open tonight(Wednesday) from 5:30-8:30, and Thursday from 10am-noon.

The Closet is beyond grateful for Sharon McMullin. Sharon is a retired BSSD employee, who worked in Transportation for many years. She receives a grant that she uses to buy new underwear and socks for The Closet. She is pictured below with one of her granddaughters. Thank you Sharon!!❤️

Last night was our opening night for the 2026-2027 school year. A record number of families visited: 69 families representing 188 children. We are so glad that you came!

The community also showed up with what appeared to be a record number of donations!

The Closet at Valley View High School opens Wednesday for back-to-school. No appointment needed for district families.

The Closet opens for our Back-to-School session in 1 week. If your child lives within the boundaries of the Blue Springs School District, and is in need of some clothing to start the school year, stop by and see us!

Are you wondering how to donate your gently used clothing to The Closet? There are blue donation bins available near the front doors to Valley View High School during the day, M-F.
You can also drop your donation off in person during our open hours.

We are so thankful for a group of hard working employees from Old Navy who sponsored a clothing drive and then also organized our racks and shelves. Wow, what a difference! We look forward to seeing everyone when we open again on August 12th!
