Is the on your to-make list? Check out this stunning version from Rachel

She chose the Far Out panto for quilting and it was such a great compliment to her quilt top. This panto can be dense as pictured or quilted more loosely to still give great texture and movement.

Have a quilt that’s ready for a spa day with me? Drop off this weekend and grab one of my 3 spots open for next week.

The scariest thing I have ever done for my business might surprise you. It wasn’t my third machine. It wasn’t even my first machine. It was my second!

Making the decision to grow was scary. Committing to being all in and actively seeking growth was intimidating. Taking on the financial risk was terrifying. And the idea of balancing a business while raising young kids was not something I was even sure I wanted.

So, what were the deciding factors?
Necessity.
Like it or not, I was already busier than my one machine could handle. So the alternative was turning away clients or having super long turn-around times.
Financial
Rather than buying brand new, I found a used machine in great shape for a reasonable price.
Ultimately, Me
I really love longarm quilting and it is a creative outlet that fills me up rather than wears me out.
I started eliminating the parts of my business that weren’t my greatest skill set (like custom quilting and t-shirt quilts) and put my energy into perfecting tension and alignment, having an amazing offering of pantographs and thread, and machine binding (extra-wide 3” of course 😎)

If you’ve made it this far, thank you!
And tell me about some scary decisions you’ve had to make in life or for your business!

I buy pantographs more than I buy fabric, and that’s saying something. Here are a few fun options that other customers have picked this week. Which one catches tour eye?

It’s officially the time of year that I get a flag quilt just about every week. I love them each so much and love the variation of red, white, blue, and pink.
We quilted this one with the Tubular Stars Panto from
The texture is so great and I love that every flag is a different fabric combo. Jorjann did such a great job picking her fabrics.
This quilt is Stars and Stripes from

Have you made one? And if so, have you made more than one? 😄 because this quilt pattern is addicting.

🦁 If you have a baby shower coming up I highly recommend the from

🦁The child size only needs 8 fat quarters and if everybody leaves you alone you can get it cut sewn in a day.

🦁This version was Safari-themed with a mixture of Pure Solids and a bunch of wovens from my stash.

🦁I added a 3” stop border because I love a good stop border and it’s a great backdrop for a 3” binding that really pops.

I’ve been a little quiet over here in my corner of the ‘gram, but the quilting continues. We’ve been working on finding our new normal and a rhythm that feels right for our little family.

I just wanted to share a few things that have brought me joy the last few months.

💛The Celestial Sunshine quilt I made for my Sissy’s casket. This was a labor of love with all of the yellows being gathered from my quilting group. I have enough leftover to make a matching quilt for myself when I’m ready.

💛The absolutely perfect curves of one of my customers. The care and the detail brought a smile to my face.

💛The 3” binding I finally finished and got to snuggle. Binding fabric is Beetle Parade from and I love it. 😍

💛A quote that makes life make perfect sense right now.

💛A quilt top my friend gifted to me that I finally quilted and bound. from 3” binding again in Neon Neppy. If you haven’t tried it, do it. It’s the only size I use anymore for binding.

💛Passover meal with the sweet ladies from my church. We shared about ways the Savior has “liberated” us and protected us from “plagues.”

💛The only group project in which I will participate, making a quilt 😆 My quilting group all contributed economy blocks to make a Push Quilt for our sweet Kaitlyn Binding is 3” Starry in black and White. You get the theme?!? 😁

I’m ready to be more present and excited to start sharing again about all the beautiful quilts I’m blessed to have come across my longarm. Thank you for being part of my quilting life. 💛

It is impossible to have a bad day while quilting up an Economy Block quilt.
I’ve shared a few of my favorite blocks.

If you’ve never made economy blocks, I highly recommend giving them a try. You can fussy cut the center block and go crazy with colors and patterns. If you aren’t paper piecing I highly recommend buying the right ruler to keep your blocks uniform and trimmed during each step of the process.

Most of the economy quilts I’ve quilted lately have been from the Ruby Star block swap from Sabrina’s Swaps & Destash but I’m tempted to start pulling from my fabric stash and just see what I come up with 🥰🥰🥰

I love stars in my quilting and I especially love them paired with happy fabric.
This pattern is the by and it is such a happy pattern! Trenaisa pieced this with the Raspberry Summer fabric and it’s making me ready for spring.
Quilting is by me 💛
