Raw, no-makeup selfie with this kid who FINALLY has enough energy to smile — because we need to shout out our village.

Because whew… it has been a WEEK. 😅

Grant is on day 5 of a fever with RSV. We’ve had staffing gaps. My awesome stepdad is headed to Charleston for emergency eye surgery for a retinal tear. Our newly adopted pup added an emergency vet visit thanks to his heartworm treatment. And somehow there are still full-time jobs to work, a business to run and bills to pay.

But our village has SHOWN UP.

My mom has kept Grant all week. A dear neighbor helped cover the store. My sister came down from Virginia to help my stepdad. My work family has stepped in. My Revival Room girls have rearranged their own schedules. Our consignors have given us grace with slower response times. And good friends have answered those early-morning calls that quickly turn into vent sessions.

And maybe that’s exactly what The Revival Room was always supposed to be about anyway — community taking care of community.

Shopping small is personal. Consigning with us is personal. When you support a locally owned business, there are actual people, families and a whole village behind it.

We work, parent, rearrange schedules, wipe snotty noses and make emergency vet runs — and somewhere in between, we unlock the doors and get to welcome you into this little place we love.

Around here, our items are authentic… and so are our problems. 🤣

Real friends get real life. Thank you for being part of our village and for giving us grace when life gets a little messy.

We are SO excited to officially welcome WOGLO — Weight of Glory to The Revival Room! 🤍

When two brands align in purpose, you say YES.

Inspired by 2 Corinthians 4:17, WOGLO was built around faith, endurance, and the reminder that the hard things we walk through are preparing us for something greater—an eternal weight of glory.

And even their logo tells the story. Look closely and you’ll see Christ humbly carrying His cross—a symbol of the ultimate sacrifice, but also of the hope that followed. Jesus died, was buried, and rose again. That’s not just part of WOGLO’s branding. It’s the reason behind it.

While The Revival Room was built primarily around a consignment model, the heart behind our store has always been bigger than resale. As we begin our third month at The Revival Room, it feels especially fitting that we get to celebrate Secondhand September. 🤍

Secondhand September is a month-long initiative created to encourage people to choose pre-loved clothing, extend the life of the pieces already in circulation, reduce waste, and think more intentionally about the way we shop.

That mission is at the very heart of The Revival Room.

From the beginning, we wanted TRR to be more than a place to shop. We dreamed of creating a space that celebrates our community, supports our local economy, puts money back into the pockets of our friends and neighbors, and gives people a place to gather.

Now that we’re settling into our third month, we’re finally getting to bring more of those dreams to life—and September is full of opportunities to shop, gather, celebrate, and support local.

Ever go through that phase of marriage where you feel more like business partners than husband and wife? Turns out, the best way to get past it is to actually become business partners. 😂🤍

Building The Revival Room alongside my husband has been such an honor. With both of us balancing full-time jobs, parenting, a business, and just life in general, I’m incredibly grateful for the way he continues to show up for me and this dream—emotionally, physically, and everything in between.

This weekend, he’s quite literally holding down the fort at TRR while I work my PRN job. Because marriage isn’t always date nights and romance. Sometimes it looks like moving racks, covering shifts, late-night business conversations, juggling schedules, and simply saying, “I’ve got it.”

“Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor.” — Ecclesiastes 4:9

Turns out, building something together has been one of my favorite parts of this adventure. 🤍 So here’s a little husband appreciation post for the man behind the scenes who helps make so much of it possible.

Saturday morning at The Revival Room: shoe wall overhaul. 👠👢✨

This shoe rack will, in fact, be the bane of my existence. 😂

BUT on the flip side… I’m choosing to celebrate the reason I can never keep it organized to the level my OCD brain would prefer:

Y’all keep buying the shoes. 🙌🏼

The inventory turnover has been SO good that every time I get this wall just right, another pair sells, new ones hit the floor, and we start the game of shoe Tetris all over again.

So today we reorganize, restock, and remind ourselves that a messy shoe wall is actually a pretty great problem for a consignment store to have. 🤍
