Thursday 8/20 my brother, my husband, and I flew to Alaska to visit friends. Yesterday we drove down the Kenai Península to Homer. Similar to the Oregon pines, the pines trees here have short needles.

So far on my vacation, I have stayed with relatives, and it's been so much fun playing "find the basket", looking for baskets I have gifted them over the years. These were at my brother Dan's house.

This trip I gave relatives some Christmas ornaments, so Cheryl, Dan's wife, chose one.

My niece Julie lives next door to my brother, so I've been over to her house a bit in the last day or so. She let me play "find the basket" at her house, and I did find it! She chose this basket probably 6 years ago. So yesterday she and her daughter each chose a Christmas bell from my stash.
