A few photos of New Hampshire right now, from Lake Winnipesaukee up through Franconia Notch and into Littleton. October is putting on quite a show. 🍁
For anyone thinking about heading up this week, there’s still plenty of fall to catch. My recommendation: head north through Franconia Notch and make your way into Littleton. Stop at Schilling B**r Co. for a b**r, wander around Main Street, and visit my friend ↟ Shaun Terhune ↟ photography gallery while you’re there.
From Littleton, follow Route 302 east through Bethlehem and Bretton Woods, then down through Crawford Notch toward North Conway. Keep going to Conway and take the Kancamagus Highway west back to Lincoln to complete the mountain loop before heading south toward the lake.
Give yourself the whole day, start early, and leave plenty of time to stop along the way. The drive is only half the fun—please support the little shops, galleries, and restaurants that make these towns worth visiting.
Pack a sweater, bring your camera, and take the long way home.
