Happy Labor Day from Flying SR Custom Works! 🤠

Today, we tip our hats to the hardworking hands that keep Texas...and the country...moving: our farmers and ranchers who rise before the sun, our first responders who never clock out, linemen who are always on call, our military who serve with unwavering dedication, and our teachers shaping the next generation.

Labor Day isn’t just about taking a break—it’s about honoring the grit, sweat, and heart that make every day count. From our family to yours, thank you for your service, your sacrifice, and your hard work.

This spring and summer have been a ride I didn’t see coming. Back in April, I fractured the wrist of my right (dominant) hand and jammed both thumbs. Just as I was on the road to recovery, a July fall set me back with a re-fractured wrist and a broken foot. Add in travel for a family funeral after the tragedy in the Hill Country… and y’all can see why I’ve been behind on orders.

But praise God, I’m finally at the end of recovery (Lord willing). Here’s the plan:
✨ Wild rag orders will start shipping out next week
✨ The last 3 t-shirt orders are being prepped to head out the door this weekend

I can’t thank you enough for your patience and support during this time. Because of your orders, Flying SR was able to give back and provide support to the volunteers working so hard on site in Hunt, as well as meet immediate needs at the Ingram and Center Point Volunteer Fire Departments.

There is still so much to do in the Hill Country. Enough debris has been removed to fill 32 football fields six feet deep — that’s about 411,111 yards of material, or 41,000 dump trucks. Mama D and I drove along the river on Sunday, and crews are still working tirelessly. Three people are still missing (this includes 2 in Kerr County and 1 in Marble Falls).

Please continue to support the affected towns by visiting their stores and restaurants. They’re not only grieving the loss of loved ones and damage to their communities, but they’re also struggling with the loss of income during what should be their busiest tourist season.

Flood Relief Tee Update

I just wanted to send a big ol’ heartfelt thank you to everyone who placed t-shirt orders to support flood relief efforts. Y’all showed up with kindness and purpose, and we are so grateful.

We’re finishing up the second batch of shirts now, and they’ll be heading out tomorrow and Friday. Then we’ll turn our focus to round three and wild rags!

This has truly been a labor of love and and every shirt packed is a reminder of how strong and good this community is. We are thankful for your patience!

Oh y’all… these turned out more beautiful than we ever dreamed!

Invoices have gone out for all our flood relief tees and wild rags. If you didn’t receive one, just shoot us a message—we’ll get you taken care of!

More blank tees have arrived, and we’re in full-on print-and-ship mode over here. It’s just the two of us running the show, so thank you for your patience! Round two is headed out tomorrow, and our goal is to have everything shipped by the end of the weekend.

Because of you, we were able to provide immediate supplies to the Ingram and Center Point Volunteer Fire Departments last week. Another local donation is coming soon!

Please pray for Texas. Communities from San Angelo to Hunt to Lampassas and everywhere in between that were affected by the 4th of July flooding are getting rained out again.

SAR efforts along the Guadalupe in Kerr and Kendall county have been postponed today.

Thank you everyone for all you have done to support Texas this past week.

There really aren’t enough words—except thank you.

To every single person who purchased a t-shirt or wild rag, we see you. We feel your support. And because of you, we’re able to put that love into action.

Thanks to your generosity—including a direct cash donation—we were able to drop off ice, drinks, and two commercial fans for volunteers at the Ingram staging area. We also visited our Red Line Family at the Ingram Fire Department and delivered supplies for first responders and on-site volunteers: socks, gloves, wipes, chapstick, insect repellent, sunscreen, copy paper, binders—and the specific requests of Tylenol, ibuprofen, pickle juice, and eye drops. We even Amazon'd some Biofreeze their way.

And y’all… the outpouring of donations... clothing, drinks, snacks, cleaning supplies—it’s been incredible to witness. The Texas Hill Country and beyond are showing up in a big way.

We’re working on getting orders out, with the first batch shipping tomorrow. Every single item is packed with thanks and love.
