You never know what’s gonna happen next when running a small business. Luckily no product or anything was damaged from the water. Everything is getting cleaned up and the problem should be fixed soon.

SHRED FEST 2026! We had so much fun last year, we decided to do it again!! On July 18th Shred Fest will return to Indian Boundary Skatepark in Bolingbrook to melt your brains and bodies with 8 incredible bands!

We will be joined by the who will provide art supplies to express creativity, the food truck will be back again the best food on wheels, the Mom Table™️ with earplugs, sunscreen, a hug if need one, and other fest supplies! We are so so excited to be bringing Shred Fest back and look to see all your beautiful faces in the pit!!

RECORD STORE DAY 2026! In one week Record Store Day will be upon us. We are excited to celebrate RSD one last time at the Promenade before our move so let’s make it a good one! This year will be a bit scaled back from last year but there will still be a great selection of exclusives (list coming next week) here at Controlled Chaos!
Below are some details regarding RSD
• We will open at 8:30AM, wristbands will be given out at 6:30AM
• To try and keep things fair and balanced we are limiting customers to 5 different RSD exclusive titles per transaction. If customers want to buy another copy of the same RSD exclusive title or more RSD titles beyond 5 they will have to get back in line.
Let’s all have a fun and exciting time getting those exclusives and celebrate the wonderful format of vinyl!
