As a child, I was blessed to have someone in my life who made me the center of her world, who loved me unconditionally and who taught me that creativity was a gift to be shared with others. She was a talented artist, a scrapbooker (long before there was an entire industry dedicated to memory keeping!) and a paper crafting genius. I spent many happy hours with her, sitting at my grandmother's dining room table making wonderful origami creatures, paper dolls, and intricate scherenschnitte snowflakes. I cherish the memories of the time I spent creating with my aunt, and I owe my love of crafting to her. Sigrid Studios is named to honor her memory. I create vintage-inspired paper crafts and jewelry. I have always been fascinated with old schoolbooks, magazines, buttons, keys, and costume jewelry. Nothing makes me happier than digging through a pile of old books and trinkets at the flea market, searching for treasures, and nothing inspires me more than turning them into something unique and new to share with my customers!
