✨ A Little Introduction, One Year Later ✨

I realized recently that although I bought Village Boutique a year ago, I never really took the time to formally introduce myself. So, I figured there’s no better time than now!

If I’m being completely honest, owning and running a storefront business was not on my bingo card. 😂 But here we are…and I absolutely love it!

For those who may not know me, I’m a wife, mom, homeschool mom, a special needs mom, Nana, and most importantly, a follower of Jesus. My husband and I have been married for 22 years this October, but we’ve been doing life together for 27 years. We have six kids, two biological and four adopted! We also have two grandbabies and two on the way! Our family keeps life full, busy, messy, beautiful, and never boring. ❤️

My husband and I are also the Life and Family Leaders at our church where we do our best to serve faithfully. Faith and family are at the very heart of who I am and everything I do including owning a business!

I love all things vintage, sneakers of every color and graphic tees! My favorite color is "sunset," and I have been known to stop in the middle of the road to take photos of the really beautiful ones! I’m an avid fiber artist who absolutely loves creating all the things. Give me some yarn and a little time, and I’ll find something to make with it! 🧶

We currently live in Dadeville, but we are working hard toward relocating back to Bolivar, a place that holds such a special place in our hearts.

But more than anything, what I’ve loved most about this past year has been YOU!

I’ve loved getting to know the wonderful people who have walked through the doors of the shop. You’ve shared your stories and pieces of your lives with me. I’ve laughed with you, cried with you, listened to you, and prayed with you and for you.

And I want you to know something...

You are not just a transaction. YOU are the reason we are here! Without you there is no "here,"

My mission has always been to be the hands and feet of Jesus, and I want every single person who walks through the doors of Village Boutique to know they have walked into a safe space.

A space where you can simply be who you are in that moment.

A space where someone will listen.

A space where, if you need prayer, I’ll stop what I’m doing and pray with you.

And if you don’t need anything at all except a listening ear, I’ll be that too.

Thank you for welcoming me, for trusting me, for sharing your lives with me, and for continuing to support Village Boutique. Thank you for making this first year so incredibly special.
