Dear Blue Paper Boat Family,

Thank you for every order, kind message, and word of encouragement. Your support has meant more than I can express, especially right now.

I know I’ve been quiet lately, and I’m sorry. My family recently experienced a heartbreaking loss, and I’ve needed time to grieve and be close to those I love. Thank you for your understanding and patience.

I started Blue Paper Boat in 2020, shortly after my husband came home from deployment. I poured our savings and all my energy into building something meaningful, creating my own embroidery designs from scratch, digitizing them, and using my machines to stitch them onto clothing made to be worn, loved, and remembered.

Many of the pieces are made right here by me. Others, beautiful, custom embroidered outfits I can’t source in the U.S., are made overseas. I’ve always tried to keep prices fair while supporting American suppliers when I can, but even they rely on imported materials.

Now, with the possibility of a 125% tariff on imported goods from China, the cost of continuing the way I have may rise beyond what’s sustainable. So for now, I’ve made the difficult decision to pause preorders. This isn’t goodbye. Just a pause while I take a step back, reassess, and find a way forward that keeps this shop true to its roots and still within reach for the families who’ve supported it from the start.
