My little licensing paperwork specialist- supporting me through the new "system".
This is my 9th year in business & the State has only changed the process about 50 times. 😅
But when I first started I had to mail in documents & get everything officially notorized. So I can't really complain 😉🍷

An unspoken reality of the service industry- the soreness. A fitness watch once tracked our bartending movement at one of our largest events of the year & in 1 day we surpassed 8 miles. Can you imagine?! And that's only footsteps, it didnt account for all of the lifting/pulling/pushing that is involved with serving hundreds of people a day; let alone the miles moved the 2nd day of the event too.

I don't have a regular workout routine anymore. I'm a mom that runs a farmstead (The Filling Farmstead) & I bartend in my mobile bar. It seems my life is constant HIIT workouts. 😅

Please remember to show grace to service industry professionals. I guarantee a waitress moves more than double what I do in a day & they carry a heck of a lot more too.

In true Nikki-like fashion, I didnt check the business hours of a local coffee shop I had heard raving reviews about. We walked in around 2:30 & there was a meeting of sorts happening, I learned they closed at 1 but the owner was kind enough to make our beverages anyway! After a long 2 days at Geneva Market, I was lucky enough to treat myself to this DELICIOUS coffee from Blissful Brew coffee & shop; HIGHLY RECOMMEND BOONE AREA 👌☕️
Thank you to the owner for going out of your way to make our beverages, they were thoroughly enjoyed (and needed 😊).
