The annual Art in Bloom exhibit at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston is about interpreting a work of art through floral design, using blooms and materials. One piece of art - like the historic, 15-ft, hand painted room divider screen we were assigned - can have multiple interpretations.

The entire process reminded us that the first idea isn’t always the final one. Our design evolved through a second iteration, proving that sometimes you just have to try, try again. The final result we created on behalf of the wayland_garden_club was worth it and pleased everyone!

Come one and all! ICA/Boston’s Derrick Adams exhibit is one to experience and enjoy wholeheartedly. The colors, compositions, textures, and sculptural dimensions of each installation represents an artful poetry of our social times and life. Wonderfully curated in collaboration with this artist, this show is a feast for the eyes and soul. Bonus: young and old visitors were loving it along with us!
