New week, new challenge!
So far, we’ve played all our board frames 3-4 times each. We’ve done all of our puzzles, and we have been cooking up a storm. Time to try a new skill!
Boy oh boy, rocky start for all of us, I’ve never done punch needle. It’s hard to explain an activity/skill to two impatient kids while figuring it out as you go. Not the smartest idea but it was meant to be a surprise for the girls who love crafts so much.
Testy moments but 20 min into it, we are going strong 💪🏻 👧🏻🤟🏻

Thank you also to for the lovely animal patterns for my girls!
I have a feeling we’re going to come out to this stronger having learned a new skill and conquered frustrations🤞🏻

Homeschooling is hard.
It’s not the format we’re used to, and some days it’s extra challenging.
In zooms her teacher to the rescue!
Here’s Stella Bella’s teacher in one on one video conference encouraging her to write her story in cursive.
Virtual at its best!! 💪🏻 👧🏻
Cant thank enough these amazing teachers who in a heartbeat changed their whole way of teaching, ❤️
We’re on week 7 and still going strong
Bella loved seeing her teacher, it was just the extra little bit of fuel she needed.

Monday fuel!!
Quick and easy 1 board family lunch
😋 YUM😋
Cheesy waffles🧇:
1. Made the batter early in the morning and put it in the fridge until it was lunch time.
2. Instead of using sugar as regular recipe, I added for salt + dried oregano + grated cheddar cheese.
So so good!! Oh yeah, and threw in fresh veggies and apples 😉 to complete the meal.

Feeding the family is still necessary during school break.
Quick fix broccoli/cheese quiche + veggies
And the wood board is a perfect space solution for the craft invasion that’s come over the dining table 😂
I can only manage to get one real home cooked meal a day and I focus that for dinner when they day is done and we can sit at the table together.

Homeschooling multiplication flower wheel🌸
Bella (2nd grade) started one of these flowers at school before the shut down. She loved it and decided it was so useful that we made 12 flowers: x1 - x12.
And then of course, we added some pizazz to the charts 🖍🎨.

THANK YOU TO ALL EDUCATORS!!!
Day 10 of online teaching/homeschooling and so grateful for the incredible work the teachers have pulled together. Impressive and the turn around was so quick. All teachers learning new skills on the fly in order to create a whole new daily set up for our children. 🙏 🙏 🙏
Whole hearted thank you for all the tireless hours put in to keep our children learning, exploring, staying curious.
It’s not easy, and some days are really hard, but hats off to all teachers out there.

We hung out little poster outside the building hoping that all who pass by get a chance to thank a teacher in their lives.
