Celebrating the beauty of ECRU—the raw color of Tussar silk yarn. Combined with handloom weaving, this yarn transforms into fluid gold.

I'm reminiscing about this very special collection made from Tussar moonga silk and raw silk ikat, which I draped and stitched myself.

Handloom Day is the perfect occasion to celebrate the skilled artisans and the unique, heirloom-quality textiles they create. It's a day to honor traditions and the slow, deliberate process that gives each piece its soul.

My collection is an example of how these traditional materials can reach the world not just as a sari, but in different silhouettes.

Here comes the bride!

The color RED- it's incredibly photogenic, its auspicious. Adorned with intricate gold embroidery, it's richness is unmatched. It embodies a rich tapestry of symbolism, history and emotions in a Indian wedding.

Puranjani wanted the red color to stand out in her wedding pictures and Vishal wanted Puranjani to stand out. They look so beautiful and elegant. Can't stop looking at these pictures over and over and over again.

Swirling in the shades of night sky and a thousand stars

Puranjani wanted a combination of striking blue shades and twinkling stars for her sangeet outfit and definitely not a lehenga. Vishal wanted to coordinate with her and feel free while dancing (he is a great dancer!). So I used all the flowy fabrics I could find- silk georgette, crepe and, organza. Mukesh/ baadla embroidery looked extraordinary on these blue shades. These outfits are probably the best ones I have designed so far. The happiness on their face when they saw eachother dressed up- PERFECT!
