I announced recently that I (Ally) am expecting a baby this December and am hoping to hire someone this month to take some of the load off of my plate!

BIG NEWS: I (Ally) am expecting a baby this December! I will stop taking appointments late October to ensure every dress gets completed before baby boy decides to make an appearance! Aubri will continue to take her normal appointment load with the exception of holiday weeks.

We are at full capacity for any bride with a wedding date prior to October 24th.

We have limited availability for bridesmaids, special occasion and pageant gowns with event dates prior to September and after July 25th.

Business practice update:

Due to the overwhelming number of no call no show appointments and last minute cancellations lately, we will be requiring a deposit in order to book an appointment.

We have always been lenient when it comes to scheduling, because we know life happens. But unfortunately, too many clients have taken advantage of that and not paid the cancellation fee when giving very little or no notice of missing their appointment. Each time this happens, we are missing out on income as we only make money if we have dresses to sew. We have had 10 in May alone, either cancel without 48 hour notice or even 12 hour notice and not pay the cancellation fee. We truly do appreciate those who have paid the cancellation fee for our time.

Going forward a deposit payment link will be sent when an appointment is set. The deposit amount will go towards your final invoice due at dress pick up. If the deposit is not paid within 24 hours of setting an appointment, that appointment will be canceled. This allows our availability to go to clients who will show up to their appointment.

UPDATE: WOW! Didn’t think I’d get so much interest so quickly! For now I will be reviewing the current applicants I have and if needed will open it back up! Thanks so much!

I am considering hiring a part-time assistant.

The ideal person would help with scheduling, pick ups, inventory and marketing-social media. Could be a hybrid position both remote and in office based on availability and our client schedule. Some basic sewing may be taught down the road, but not a requirement.

A background in bridal, fashion or pageants a plus! Still working out the details, but would like to see if there is interest. Perfect for a college student, recent grad or someone needing extra hours.
