At our shop-aversary I asked some of you what brought you to Slackline and what keeps you coming back.

I work really hard to create a welcoming space where you can feel at home. The most unexpected gift is that you created the same experience for me and for that I’m forever grateful.

Thank you Ingrid for being a shop friend, a customer, a helper and all around great human!

Mil gracias, a million thank you’s to Anthony DeJesus! I would have forgotten and regretted not taking a family photo had you not shown up with your camera and good eye. 📸🙏 And gracias to my mom and sis, my biggest cheerleaders, who support me from afar and whom I miss every single day. Las quiero mucho. 🙏💌🫶

It’s our 3 year anniversary and I woke up extra sassy. On October 14th, 2023 I officially opened the doors to our brick and mortar on Main Street after leaving a career in design and technology. At a time when being an AI expert was a requirement (not an option) and at the same time that AI was taking our jobs. In a crap economy, when small businesses were and are still dying in a state that doesn’t make it easy. I have not stopped working my ass off for one single day since and I am still very happy to be here. Proud of what I’ve built, and humbly grateful for those of you who keep showing up.

We’ve grown a lot this year and I’ve been fielding more and more awkward questions from first time visitors that may not be sure what they’re walking into. So I’m taking the opportunity to share some small shop etiquette:

If it’s your first time in a shop, “How’s business” is not the first question that you should be asking. Instead, take the time to look around, get to know the shop and decide if this is a place you want to frequent. If it’s not.. that’s OK! Not every shop is for everyone.

If you love a shop but can’t make a purchase that’s ok too! There are other ways you can help keep their doors open that cost no money:
👉 Follow, like, share or comment on content
👉 Share with friends who may like the business
👉 Sign up for a newsletter
👉 Leave a review
👉 Share constructive feedback, and keep the personal negative ones someplace safe
