Another common question I get is: Can I use woven cotton for the middle layer?
Yes, absolutely.

I often use three layers of woven cotton, especially when I can’t find a perfect flannel match. Three layers of woven cotton still give you beautifully fluffy seams while keeping the overall quilt lighter.

In this design, for example, it would have been nearly impossible to find the same vibrant green in flannel, so I simply used another layer of woven cotton instead. R x
