There’s no single way love shows up.

Sometimes it looks like gently used toys.

Sometimes it’s books, games, or brand‑new socks.

At Community Threads, love comes in many forms—and every donation helps someone feel seen, supported, and cared for. 🤍

Thank you to our many donors for providing these resources and showing us all what is all about!

Today, CLCL Foundation's Community Threads Store pauses to honor and remember the brave service members who gave their lives in service to our country.

Their sacrifice is the reason we are able to gather, support one another, and build strong communities rooted in care, opportunity, and hope.

As we spend time with family and neighbors this Memorial Day, we hold space for gratitude, remembrance, and unity.

❤️ We remember.
🤍 We honor.
đź’™ We carry forward their legacy through service to others.

🎉 688 Shoppers in Just 3 Months! 🎉

From February 21st to May 20th, our Community Threads Store welcomed 688 neighbors through our doors — and every visit tells a story of resilience, dignity, and community care.

Here’s what your support made possible:
• 10.6 shoppers per operating day
• 2.5 shoppers per hour
• 62% returning customers
• 78% from Ocean County
• 32% from Brick Township

Who we’re serving:
• 72% women
• 23% age 60+
• 27% parents with children under 18
• 4.2% current students
• 1.2% veterans
• 1.8% former foster youth

Every donation, every volunteer hour, every share — it all matters.

Thank you for helping us build a space where dignity is the standard and community is the heart. đź’›

✨ Please note: These numbers reflect shoppers who chose to share their information during intake. Not all shoppers complete every part of the intake, so actual percent totals may be higher. The total shopper count — 688 — represents everyone who checked out and completed the base intake visit, regardless of how many intake questions they answered.

It’s ice cream time! Join Mayor Lisa Crate and the Mayor’s Student Advisory Committee for our Ice Cream with the Mayor Social, an afternoon designed for students in grades 6–12 to connect, create, and enjoy a sweet treat. Stop by the Brick Teen Center between 3:30 PM and 5:30 PM to build your own sundae and engage in conversation with the mayor in a fun and welcoming environment. This event is completely free and no registration is required — just bring your friends and stop by for an exciting afternoon of ice cream and community conversation.
