Wendy On Wheels

Wendy On Wheels Children's book series that follows the adventures of ten-year-old Wendy Wendy on Wheels creates a movement that children and parents are looking for.

Wendy on Wheels is a ten year old young lady who has a blast rolling through life in her chair. Wendy is completely content with her life and makes the best of every new situation that comes her way. Life is fun! Let’s live! Nothing can prevent us from fully enjoying life. Disabilities are not obstacles to be overcome but just represent alternative options.

Today is International Wheelchair Day.

International Wheelchair Day is a time to celebrate strength, accessibility, and visibility for people who use wheelchairs all over the world.

I created Wendy on Wheels so that children who use wheelchairs could open a book and see themselves reflected as capable, adventurous, and confident. I also wanted other children to see that a girl in a wheelchair is not different in spirit, imagination, or courage.

Wheelchairs are not symbols of limitation. They are tools of independence and freedom that allow people to move through the world in their own way.

This day is personal for me because of my sister Amanda. Growing up with her shaped the way I see resilience, determination, and joy. She has taught me more about strength and perspective than I could ever fully explain.

Wendy exists because representation matters, and every child deserves to see themselves as the hero of their own story.

Happy International Wheelchair Day.
