How do you draw… a smell?

Every scent we make starts with a feeling, and we wanted the outside of our new box to show you exactly what’s waiting inside, before you even open it.

Enter MEDUSA - branding & social media , our new creative collaborators (and truly talented, kind people).

We grounded the project in three ideas: imperfect is beautiful and intentional. Specificity is better than being generic. And hand-drawn, all the way.

Then we put to words how we think about the candle, as it relates to one of our favorite mediums: books.

📖The box, which you see first, is like the cover of the book. It pulls you in and hints at the story that awaits.

🏷️The candle label is the spine. You can spot your favorite book across a room by its spine alone. We think candles work the same way. ;)

🔥And finally, the burn is when you start reading. That moment when the words lift off the page and fill your entire world.

If there’s anything this process has reminded us it’s that scents aren’t just scents, they are a conduit for emotional storytelling.
