Durag Art 🖼️

My work falls within what I call Durag Methodology. For me, the durag isn’t just fashion, it’s memory, identity, inheritance.

When I create, it’s never just fabric. I style the looks, build the set, direct the scene, and capture it all through my own lens. The details carry pride, resilience, and lineage.

Just like how the Renaissance or Romanticism reflected their time, Durag Art reflects ours. It comes out of Black culture, streetwear, and fine art. It takes something people once misunderstood and reframes it as both crown and tether, a symbol of who we are, where we’ve been, and where we’re going. A living archive and a new chapter in Black visual legacy.
