Thank you to everyone who came out Saturday for Gondek & Friends. Such a fun night.

Happy birthday to Matt Gondek and congrats on the release of his new 8 bit game CEASE & DESIST. Really cool getting to be a small part of everything and finally getting the new MISHKA x GONDEK shirts out into the world.

Big thank you to Secret Walls for hosting us and giving everyone a place to hang out, play the game, grab some stuff and celebrate.

Emeka was one of the nicest, realest dudes I met during my years living in NYC.

I’ve been thinking about him today and keep coming back to 2007, when he modeled for us for our Fall 2007 “Cold War” collection. It was one of our first real cut and sew collections and I remember being so happy and proud of what we had made. When Emeka said he would model for us, I was so stoked. I remember thinking, holy s**t, we actually have a real model wearing our clothes. He brought something to them and elevated everything in a way I couldn’t have imagined at the time.

Not only was he extremely talented and someone I would call and icon and visionary but he was also just one of those people you were always genuinely happy to run into. You knew he was going to be in a good mood, make you laugh, uplift whatever situation he walked into, and just be Emeka. He had an energy about him that made people feel good.

My heart goes out to his family, his loved ones, and everyone who was lucky enough to know him.

Rest easy, Emeka. ❤️

Had the pleasure to checkout the homie (and og ) Shamon Cassette and his solo art show “Public Access” at the S**T ART CLUB in the Shafranski Art Foundation in Downtown LA. It’s up for the next month so if you are in town be sure to check it out.
