I asked my best friend if she thinks most people are good people — "yes" or "no" questions aren't usually her thing, so she answered, "I think most people try to be" ... she's probably right.

Our conversation went on to establish the fact that everyone's definition of "good" is different and that for the most part, we should at least try to live by that definition.

Most people are good people. We may make bad decisions sometimes, but good never meant perfect. Be good, especially to yourself.•

You wanna know something that I learned in life?

I learned that you have to be committed to something. Even if that something is yourself.

People tell us that we have to commit to something outside of ourselves because it could make us feel like we have purpose.

I mean it's true, but the actual truth is that we have many purposes in life and one of them HAS to be to take care of self.

So I've committed more to doing that, because if self is not aligned, nothing will be.
